So, how do you start your own playground project?

The answer to that is simple! All you have to do is get in touch with us! We can then discuss your requirements, come up with a design & costs, and only when you're 100% happy to proceed do we move forward to installation.

How does it work?

  1. Contact: As we mentioned above, the first step always starts with you. If you have any ideas, or need any help knowing what would best suit your playground space, just let us know, and we'll get the ball rolling.

  2. Playground Survey: We'll meet at your school for a FREE site survey, discuss your playground needs, marking requirements, and we'll offer our expertise where we can.

  3. Design & Quote: Following our visit, our team will prepare a playground design specifically for your needs and budget, making the most out of your playground space.

  4. Manufacture: Only when you are happy with everything, do we proceed to manufacture. We will not start any manufacturing until everybody is completely satisfied with all proofs and plans.

  5. Installation: Our trained and qualified team members, all DBS checked, will arrive on site and install your shiny new playground markings on a date that suits you.

What's the installation process?

Steps

  1. Preparation: Clean the area where the playground markings will be applied. Remove any dirt, debris, and loose particles from the surface with a broom or blower.

  2. Design Layout: Measure and mark the layout of the designs using something like temporary marking paint.

  3. Apply Primer: Applying a primer to the tarmac will increase the adhesion between the thermoplastics and the tarmac.

  4. Position Thermoplastic: Place the thermoplastic sheets or pre-cut shapes on the marked positions. Make sure they are perfectly aligned with your markings.

  5. Heat Application: We apply heat evenly over the surface of the thermoplastic until it melts and adheres to the surface.

  6. Anti Slip: Next we apply our anti-slip beading while the thermoplastics are still setting, just to make sure they have that extra grip once dried. They have this already throughout the material, but it never hurts to add more.

  7. Cool Down: Allow the new markings to cool down and solidify. This can take up to 30 minutes.

  8. Check Adhesion: Carefully inspect to ensure that the material has fused well with the surface.

  9. Quality Check: Walk around and inspect the markings. Making sure there are no issues & everything is as we would expect it to be.

  10. Final Clean: Once the markings have cooled and solidified, we use a broom or blower to remove any remaining debris.

  11. Safety Checks: Before allowing the playground to be used, we perform a final safety check to ensure everything is correct and ready for the children to have fun!

- and that's how we bring your playground to life!
